MFS Open 2008 - Debrecen

Posted on June 17, 2008 by Ozsy

This year MFS Open IPS Competition was staged in the organization of MFS2000 Inc. for the third time. The competition was held in Debrecen at Apaffay shooting-range. The program is getting higher standards, which is well illustrated by the number of competitors. 168 competitors (from 12 countries!) alltogether put themselves to the test, which is standalone in Hungary regarding this branch of sports. More European- and world champions took part in the race, so many less sponsored competitors could match their strength against the great. This competition offered a great opportunity for practice for those, who travelled to the world championship, because, as they said, they participated in the most skilled competion of Europe this year!
You can view the results of the competion at www.mfsopen.eu , or download directly in pdf format:
Pictures taken during the prize-giving ceremony are available in our gallery. The cutting of the videos captured during the coumpetition is in progress, as they are ready we will share them in our video gallery.

Customer Feedback

Posted on June 17, 2008 by Ozsy

We cite some rows from this honorific letter that we have received from László Medgyaszay:

"During my hunt I had the following experiences with MFS 30.06 ammunition:

The ballistic data in your catalogue are proved to be perfectly accurate, the distance of the shootings were between 190-250 meters. In every case the targets were animals with smaller body, as the elk in the attached pictures. In the case of the kudu, the target was standing 150 meters from us, and this was also true in the case of both orixes. The orix weights 210-240 kgs, the big kudu weights 200-270 kgs. The weight of these wild animals are similar to the weight of the inland stag's. All the seven shots hit the target...
The hunt was held at a 30 acre farm, 40 kms far from the capital of Namibia, Windhouk. Our guide was József Bank, a professional hunter with a Hungarian origin. After the hunt he changed his opinion about the ammunition, he only said:

"This is proved to be better than any "wonder bullet"!"

In 2009 I will go back there to hunt, and, of course, I am thinking about using Hungarian ammunition again, among others I would like to get an eland that weights 700 kgs!"

The pictures taken during the hunt can be viewed in our Gallery.
